We still are without internet so it's a bit tricky to fit in going somewhere with internet into the schedule. I decided to combine last weeks theme (winged creatures) and this weeks theme (growth) together! Bees, a wonderful winged creature, are what helps flowers grow, right? :) Next, check out the rest of the blog circle by visiting Kimberlee Edwards Photography Cary NC http://www.kimberleeedwardsblog.com |
The theme for this week was round. My sister, niece, and I took a walk on Wednesday to this super fun park by their house. It's actually a school park, but I find that most school parks are way better than the city parks around here. There were lots of things that were round too! I couldn't pick of course, so here are my two favorites :) Next, finish out the blog circle and check out: Cathy Kuhlman, Philadelphia, PA photographer at http://www.cathykuhlmanphotography.blogspot.com |
I had the privilege of "shooting" a terrific family on Monday that really put things into perspective for me. They are anxiously awaiting their fourth child. Instead of carrying the child for 9 months, they are adopting. This is the second child they are adopting. For some of the pictures we had the new little boy "join" us. The other kids kept saying, "I want Million to sit by me," or "I'll hold Million." It was such a neat perspective to see them love this sibling like their own, before even meeting him! Hello! I do not have my regular work computer so I had to play around with some online editing programs. I ended up using www.picmonkey.com. Not bad! After mine, check out Kimberlee Edwards, Raleigh Durham Photographer at http://www.kimberleeedwardsblog.com to see how she interpreted blue! |
Yes, I realize this is almost half a week late; however, I haven't had a computer with editing software. I finally downloaded picasa on my work computer and used that. In case you ever need to convert RAW files in a pinch, it worked semi-decent. Anyway, for my take on metal I decided to implement the good 'ol metal spoon with dying Easter Eggs. Techincally it's the first time she remembers dying eggs since she was only 2 last year. She was SO amazed! Favorite phrases of the day: "Oh my gosh guys!" "Oh. My. GOSH!" "It's beautiful!" The best part was that she dyed eggs four times (that I know of) and everytime she had the same reaction!! I was too late to enter the blog circle, but if you'd like to start at the top, check out http://www.jennduguayphotography.com/ |
Much thanks to Patrick, who I bribed with amazing pizza at the Toasted Frog. If you'd like to hear him, check out one of my favorite youtube videos of him. He does a great cover of Two Coins, by Dispatch. While you're there, you should check out some of his originals! After that, finish the blog circle by going to see how the talented Robin Moore interpreted the music theme. |
This week's theme was books. I'm a teacher, what can I say, I LOVE reading. I considered taking a picture of my classroom library, but it is in dire need of some organization. Spring has finally sprung here so I've been enjoying spending some time outside reading and going for walks. Next, check out 13. Hello! I'm back after missing a week due to spring break and house hunting. Hopefully I won't miss another week until the wedding :) This week the theme was green. Luckily I had the cutest twins who have a birthday very close to St. Patty's Day. Happy Birthday B and B!!!! This week's theme was "Time." I try to arrive at school at least 45 minutes before the kids arrive. I like to sip my coffee, correct papers, plan, and have some calm before the storm :) Next, check out how Robin Moore, Cary, NC photographer, http://www.rkmoorephotography.com interpreted time. |
It's a bit windy here :) Check out Amy Moisuk, Slices of Life Photography, CT, http://blog.slicesoflifephotography.com/ next!! |
I am thrilled! I have been looking for a way to reach out as a photographer and found the perfect way. I was accepted to be a photographer with Inspiration through Art, formally known as The Littlest Heroes. "Inspiration Through Art was founded in January 2008 by Felicia Reinhard, made up of professional photographers, artists, children, and other volunteers nationwide that provide free programs and services to our nations heroes. Through the power of photography and the gift of art we are giving back and taking a stand for these children who sometimes feel forgotten because of their illnesses. We are here to let them know that they are heroes to many, and to share their inspirational stories and photos with the world." If you know anyone that is a little hero, please direct them to the website, linked here. |
This week's theme was warmth. I'm thankful my niece (with a sinus cold, none the less) is so willing! After you're done, check out: Erin Dahl, Memphis, TN Family Photographer http://www.erindahlphotography.com |
This weeks theme was "Words." Since I teach 5th grade I deal with a lot of words every day :) Funny story from this week: We are learning about the Revolutionary War in Social Studies, our reading stories in our reading basal happen to take place during the Revolutionary War, and low and behold we flip open to Science and our new chapter is all about the revolution of the Earth around the sun! One student voiced exactly what I was thinking in my head, "Ms. Bjornson, if I have to learn one more meaning for the word revolution, I might scream!" As confusing as all those words are, I'm happy to pass on the love of reading to my students! This "Love of Reading" session quickly turned into a Valentine's Day session :) Next, check out Amy Schilling, Austin, TX Photographer, http://sweetandhappysessions.blogspot.com |

I have enjoyed all that my hobby photography had to offer this year, but as Patrick and I look for a place to live after our wedding, I would really like to rent/own a natural light studio and take my photography career a step further. I joined a forum called The Bloom Forum and have been learning so many new things! To take it another step I am joining a blogging group called 52 on Fridays. Each week there will be a new theme to stretch us as photographers and learn from each other as we (and you!) check out the full blog circle. This weeks theme was "New." Since this year I will be starting a new journey with marriage I decided to use my engagement ring on one of the vintage hankies I am using for wedding decoration. ( I know a vintage hankie is not new, but try to focus on the new journey for me :) Next, check out Christa Paustenbaugh, Manassas, VA. http://www.thepaustenbaughs.typepad.com and leave her some love! |
